Cranberry Bars

Cranberry Bars

2 cups fresh or frozen cranberries

2 eggs, well beaten

1/2 cup butter or margarine

1 tsp vanilla

1-1/4 cups sugar

1-1/2 cups flour

1/2 cup chopped nuts

1/2 tsp salt

Mix eggs, butter and vanilla. Add remaining ingredients. Spread in a greased 9 x 13 pan. Bake 40 minutes at 350 degrees. Allow to cool. Top with cream cheese frosting.

Makes approximately 24 bars.

Cream Cheese Frosting

Mix 3 oz softened cream cheese, 1 tsp milk, 2 cups powdered sugar, 1/2 cup butter or margarine and 1 tsp. vanilla.
